To fulfill its strategic goals and environmental commitments, Matcar Shipping BV has established a comprehensive industrial safety management framework with environmental protection as a central component.

Matcar Shipping BV has successfully completed independent auditing, confirming that its environmental management practices meet rigorous compliance requirements. To drive continuous improvement in environmental performance, the Company refines its operational processes and actively engages with diverse stakeholders across its management systems.
This approach enables Matcar Shipping BV to evolve from reactive mitigation measures toward proactive environmental risk assessment and the implementation of preventive strategies that minimize the ecological footprint of its operations.
A systemic approach to control over compliance with the orders of the State Fire Control authorities of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Federation was organized, as a result whereof 99% of violations of fire safety requirements were remedied without any capex outlays for such remediation.
Manouk Shipping B.V developed the project “Environmental Safety Strategies until 2023”, with a view to identifying priorities, activities and vehicles that would help step up the Company’s environmental activities in line with international industry standards. In order to prepare this document, the Company analyzed its current operations, best international practices, including experience of partner companies, and objectives related to implementation of new projects.

We always prefer sustainable production processes: Our engineered bar threads are processed with zero oil waste.
Our coupler manufacturing processes offer a reduction of the raw material weight of 23% and a reduction of the steel waste of 21%. Our GFRP production lines and our couplers production lines are equipped with hoods directing the air to a filtering system.
We are equipped with our wastewater treatment plant allowing us to exceed the environmental standards set by the local regulatory agencies. All our plants are managed through a proactive environmental management system. Our Guangzhou plant and our netherland plants are ISO14001 certified. Our Pune plant certification is planned for 2025.
We maintain a comprehensive library of Environmental Product Declarations (EPD) so that we can communicate transparently on the GHG emissions of the products in our catalog, as well as monitor regularly our progress in terms of decarbonization. Our EPDs are available upon request.
We handle a wide range of petroleum products, including crude oil, refined products, chemicals, and additives. Our state-of-the-art facilities are equipped to accommodate various types of products, ensuring safe and efficient storage and handling.
